« Igor Samsonov was born in 1963 in Voronezh (the former USSR). In 1996 he graduated from the State Art Academy named after Repin in Saint Petersburg. He works in various genres. Noticed for his excellent style of paintings the artist was invited to participate in an exhibition of Russian Artists organized in Paris in 1992. His paintings had tremendous success in the exhibition and then he spent several summers in France where he created many paintings influenced by french history. The warm coloring and virtuoso brushwork contribute to the style of the artist's paintings. »
